Crayola anyone?

Today, PCH treated herself to a little morning appetizer. She took a little nip off the end of her red crayon! I was in the kitchen and she was in the living room watching cartoons and coloring (I could see her, so don't get all upset with my parenting skills). Everything is going just fine as I'm cleaning and she is supposed to be entertaining herself.......well she was also feeding herself! Hubby walks in the room and immediately says "What's she eating?" and this is enough for me to drop what I am doing and make a run for her. I know for a fact she had no food, at least real food, in there with her. Hubby is on the floor asking her if she ate her crayon, but by no means is he about to put his finger in her mouth and swipe it out!! Why, he won't do this I have no clue!! I go into full Mommy mode and almost gage the child trying to get tiny bits of red crayon out of her mouth. She starts screaming by this time, I don't know if I scared her or she thought she was in big trouble!! Either way, I had to scrub her teeth with her toothbrush because she had ground the crayon up into little pieces. She already hates to get her teeth brushed, so I'm sure this didn't help that situation. I just kept telling her "We don't eat our crayons!", but I don't know if she got it or not.....I guess we'll see next time the crayons are given to her. She cried for about thirty minutes over this ordeal and I think it was because she had to have her teeth brushed an extra time today!!

I wonder if crayons leave a trail on the way "out"? I guess I can answer this sometime tomorrow. I'll let you know.....I know you'll all be waiting eagerly for the answer!!
