The saga of the new bed continues! PCH has figured out how to get out of the bed successfully and very quietly I might add. Over the past three nights she had gotten out of her bed and eagerly made her way across the house to our room. She chooses to crawl, she's much faster that way, across the hardwood floors in a lighting fast dash to our room! The first time she did it the sound of the pitter-patter across the floors scared me to death and then I realized what was happening. I sat straight up in bed and said "OH MY GOSH" to wake Hubby so he could see her accomplishment!! The bad part is once she is in our room she does not want to leave. She wants to sleep in the bed with us!! She's like a little animal that has been freed from her cage!! I know this is a bad habit forming before our eyes and I'm going to have some tough nights ahead of me trying to break this. My parents like to say I slept in their bed until I was 12 (not true.....9 maybe). Maybe this is why I have no siblings!! I don't want PCH to follow in my apparently chicken footsteps. We may be investing in a new baby cage door--I mean, gate--to keep her contained in her room. At least then maybe she'll give up and get back in her own bed!!
